Frequently asked questions

What is DeepLoop?

DeepLoop is an AI livestock intelligence platform that uses standard cameras and computer vision to watch pig, broiler and layer houses around the clock, catching sickness, weight drift and welfare problems days before manual inspection would — and feeding every detection into farm records and decisions.

What animals does DeepLoop support?

Pigs, broilers and layers. The same cameras and the same closed loop run across all three: the pig finisher chasing FCR, the broiler house chasing livability, and the layer flock holding lay rate.

Does DeepLoop require proprietary hardware?

No. DeepLoop sells no hardware at all. You receive an exact specification list of standard consumer parts — cameras, network switches and the like — and source them yourself from any supplier at cost. No proprietary connectors, no vendor lock-in, no markup.

How much does DeepLoop cost?

You pay for installation plus a small monthly fee per house — nothing more. There is no upfront hardware charge, because you buy standard cameras yourself at cost.

Can AI detect disease before workers see symptoms?

Yes. Continuous camera monitoring picks up changes in behaviour, movement, feeding and distribution that precede visible symptoms — a pig coughing at night, a sick bird hidden in a large flock, feather-pecking starting to spread — days before they would surface in weekly production numbers.

How does DeepLoop improve FCR?

By catching the things that quietly drag feed conversion — sickness, weight deviation, feed and water issues, climate stress — while there is still time to act, and by keeping counts, weights and mortality records accurate so the feed curve always matches the animals actually in the pen.

What is closed-loop farm autonomy?

A system that doesn't stop at alerts. Every detection closes a loop — watch, understand, decide, act, learn: the system reconciles headcount, updates mortality records, recalculates FCR and days to market, and adjusts feed and climate, learning from every batch it watches.

What are the L1–L5 levels of farm autonomy?

A five-level scale, like self-driving levels but for the barn. L1–2 is the automation you can already buy — timers, sensors, climate boxes. L3 is where DeepLoop lives: a system that reads the animals themselves. L4–5 is the farm that runs, heals and improves itself.

Do I need to replace my existing farm equipment?

No. DeepLoop connects to your existing feed system, climate controller and records, and adds standard cameras on top. It works with what you have.

Where does DeepLoop operate?

DeepLoop is built for commercial pig and poultry farms of different sizes — not only large showcase projects — and is currently proving the system in real working pig barns. Contact [email protected] to talk about your farm.
